Susan Kathryn Hefti's AMERICAN DAMES Named 2012 Long Beach Playhouse New Works Festival Finalist

We are thrilled to announce that Susan Kathryn Hefti's newest full-length play AMERICAN DAMES, or Waiting for Dolley has been named Finalist in the Long Beach Playhouse Theatre's 22nd Annual New Works Festival
  
As a 2012 Finalist, AMERICAN DAMES will receive a Mainstage Reading at the Long Beach Playhouse Theatre on August 19, 2012 at 2PM. The LBPH Festival & Reading are open to the public. Please check the theatre's website for details & directions: Long Beach Playhouse Theatre

AMERICAN DAMES is 2012 Julie Harris Playwriting Award Semi-Finalist

We are delighted to announce that Susan Kathryn Hefti's new play AMERICAN DAMES, or Waiting for Dolley has been selected as a Semi-Finalist for the 2012 Julie Harris Playwriting Award Contest hosted by the Beverly Hills Theatre Guild (BHTG)!
Thrilled that the BHTG chose AMERICAN DAMES for this tremendous honor, Hefti hopes the recognition will lead to even more opportunities for the further development of her new play.
Thanks again to everybody who came out to the Stella Adler Studio's New Play Reading Festival to hear AMERICAN DAMES read in front of an audience for the very first time on April 11th!

Susan Kathryn Hefti's AMERICAN DAMES is a Big Hit @ Harold Clurman Laboratory Theater's 2012 Play-Reading Festival!

Thanks to everyone who came out to hear the first-ever public reading of Susan Kathryn Hefti's AMERICAN DAMES, or...Waiting for Dolley - the 2011-2012 Harold Clurman Playwright-in-Residence Competition Finalist - in the 2012 Harold Clurman Playwrights Division's New Play Reading Festival at the Stella Adler Studio this past Wednesday, April 11th!
 
The evening was a huge success with a smashing turn-out and an audience so pumped, the energy in the room was truly electric!

And we're so very grateful for all the wonderful theater lovers who made the time to come out to hear this brand new play, AMERICAN DAMES, or...Waiting for Dolley, in this very special reading produced by the Stella Adler Studio and the Harold Clurman Laboratory Theater Company!

Susan Kathryn Hefti's AMERICAN DAMES picked for Stella Adler's 2012 Play Reading Festival!

Susan Kathryn Hefti's AMERICAN DAMES, or...Waiting for Dolley - the 2011-2012 Harold Clurman Playwright-in-Residence Competition Finalist - has been selected for The Stella Adler Studio's 2012 New Play Reading Festival!

As part of the festival, the Playwrights Division of The Stella Adler Studio of Acting and the Harold Clurman Laboratory Theater will be producing the first-ever staged reading of AMERICAN DAMES this spring!
